The Chunky Shoe
Chunky and platform boots were a popular footwear trend from fall last year...although with the sun coming out boots aren't a very suitable choice for such heat! As many people loved the chunky shoe trend, the trend actually is following into summer with the chunky and/or platform sandal!
My preferred colour of shoe is black, although with summer getting nearer I wanted to add some pastel colour into my wardrobe. So, I stepped out of my comfort zone!
I didn't want to spend a lot of money on this style of shoe as the heel is quite high and the heel/platform are a rubbery material, so I wasn't sure if I would feel comfortable in them.
The ones I bought were from Ebay and were £28.94 (including P+P) from the seller soleaffair. There are a choice of 3 colours: black, white and pink and white. I have not yet worn these out, although from trying them on in the house despite the large heel, they are very comfortable and easy to walk in. Not only easy to walk in, but very simple to style. I styled mine with black skinnies rolled up at the ankles. They would look great with an oversized blouse or t-shirt, crop top or an oversized thin jumper for on an evening.
Accessories
Accessories wise, I recently bought a black 'crocodile skin' shoulder bag from Primark which was £9, so I paired it with my shoes to stay within the comfort zone of my love for black. Although, these shoes could be styled with any sort of bag from backpacks to clutches for an evening out!
These shoes will definitely get a lot of use this summer!
