My First Post!

Hiya :-)

Okay, I've wanted to do this for a long time and since finishing my A-Levels in college I finally have a lot of time to spend to myself. What better way to spend it than taking photos and getting things off my mind? I plan on getting a job as soon as possible to finance my need to try new things, do more activities with friends and pay for my make-up/clothing loves!

Studying A-levels in college was tough for me in my second year as I still was not completely sure on what I wanted to do with my life. From being young and having an extreme arty/creative interest, the chance of having the opportunity of having a job in a creative industry is very low, considering I still don't feel ready to leave my area, parents and friends. I still have a vast interest in photography and media, which is what I feel I have the most skills in after completing them at A-level. Although, after being told it is extremely hard to get a job in them industries, I started to think "What's the point?" and "I don't know what to take pictures of". After realising I was saying these things, I noticed I actually take A LOT of photos, maybe not on my DSLR but on my iPhone. This got me thinking that I can take photos of ANYTHING without it having to have a meaning, importance or benefit to anyone else as long as the photos mean something to me.

I aim for this to be a space where I can open my mind on various different things from everyday life issues and activities to products I've tried out. Also since leaving college, I feel I need a way to maintain my English and writing skills and writing blog posts can only make them better regardless. I'm excited to make this a project for myself to not only distract myself but to maybe realise what career route I want to go into in the future!
