Yesterday, me and two friends drove down to Bambrough and Seahouses! It was lovely weather and the weather forecast said there was only 25% chance of rain. This was complete luck as it was a spontaneous decision to go on the Tuesday night. Although the day was not so 'lucky' for me >;{ but i had a good time nevertheless.
This was the first long car journey me and my friends had been on together and all in all the drive went smoothly and only took the wrong road once (and flattened some greenery whilst reversing onto the right road)
OOPS.
When we arrived the first thing we did was visit Neptune's fish and chip shop for our lunch (which is quite traditional for seaside visits in England) The price was quite expensive compared to fish and chips back at home. After buying our lunch we walked down towards teh harbour and tried to find somewhere to sit, embarrassingly on the way there, I fell and grazed my knee (over an already existing scar from falling over on a night out) after this I thought to myself "great... bad things happen in threes" so I was very aware after this point. We eventually found a seat and a lot of little birds came to sit in front of us on the floor so we fed them some left over chips (which was a very bad idea)
After our lunch, we visited some of the cute little gift shops in Seahouses. I bought some pink and white nougat and some black jack candy rock. There was not a lot of shops there although the ones that were there were very small and cute, although quite repetitive. This is when unlucky event #2 happened as we were waiting at a cash point a bird pooed on my head (which is good luck I hope). We found a little ice cream shop and bought tubs of ice cream with monkeys blood, which was probably the best ice cream I've ever had!
This is when we decided to go back to Bambrough to adventure on the beach. The drive to Bambrough from Seahouses was only about 5-10 minutes, which was great as the beach at Bambrough is a lot nicer than the one at Seahouses!
After exploring the beach, we found a shell shaped like two elephant tusks...and this is what happened!
Here is a series of pictures I took whilst on the beach! :)
