Lifesaver: "Lipcote"

I LOVE this product. Being a lipstick wearer, I want long lasting and perfect lipstick all day. Cracking, smearing and colour bleed is something lipstick wearers experience a lot more than just once and "Lipcote" is definitely one of my new make-up bag essentials.

I heard about this after moaning to my friend at college about my red lipstick bleeding around my mouth (which looks so messy!) and she mentioned "Lipcote" and said it stopped colour bleeding and held the lipstick on your lips for A LOT longer. Not long after, during a Primark trip and seeing it in there, another friend mentioned their mum used it and had used it for as long as she could remember. Obviously after hearing this I had to try it.

The product is in, coincidentally, a lipstick sized container with a brush connected to the lid for easy on-the-go application. The steps for the application are easy and I simply applied my lip liner, blotted with a tissue, applied my lipstick, blotted again and brushed the product onto my lips whilst having my mouth slightly open (allowing the product to dry). Once on my lips, I experienced a sharp tingling/stinging sensation which is normal.  If the tingling/stinging sensation consists for too long then do not use the product as you may be allergic.

I don't have any major complaints about this product besides the smell which is a lot similar to nail varnish remover or alcohol. Although you do only smell this when opening the product and waiting for it to dry on your lips!

You can buy "Lipcote" at Boots for £3.69
